Government Holds Petrol Price Steady, Slashes Diesel by Rs 12.84 Effective Aug 16
The federal government has released the revised fuel prices for the fortnight beginning August 16, 2025, based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and concerned ministries.
As per the Finance Division’s notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs 12.84 per litre, dropping from Rs 285.83 to Rs 272.99. Petrol, however, will continue to retail at Rs 264.61 per litre, the same rate fixed in the August 1 review.
